Two BCS Announcements: The BOE last night adopted a resolution to use remaining Covid food grants to fund Breakfast for all scholars for the remainder of the year. It will begin on Monday, November 27th.
Secondly, BCS was recognized this week as the VFW State and National School of the Year for Citizenship Education!


Attention All Beforecare and Aftercare parents!
Due to parking lot construction, all before and aftercare scholars need to be dropped off and picked up at the Sheridan Place entrance (where the big parking lot is) at Door #26. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

Attention BrigStrong Families: A few reminders - Please have your child(ren) wear their Veterans Shirt tomorrow. Also, Wednesday-Friday are half days for scholars this week, as it's Parent/Teacher conferences. While at conferences, please check out the lost and found table in the cafeteria. Lastly, Nutri-Serve will have a table in the cafeteria tomorrow during conferences, if you have any questions about food accounts or services.

High School Open House Dates/Times
HSHS - October 30th, 6pm
Charter Tech - October 26th and November 29th
ACIT - November 1st, 3:30-7:30pm
OCHS - November 11th, 6-7:30pm

All Parents/Guardians Welcome - We will host our annual Halloween Parade on Tuesday morning with the help of our student council scholars. All PreK-8th grade scholars may dress up, and wear their costumes for the entire day. We ask that all costumes are appropriate, and no weapons.
9:15AM - PreK will host its parade outside next to their PreK Playground.
When preschool is done, they may proceed to the bleachers to watch the K-4 Parade.
9:30AM - K-4th Grade Parade Begins In Main Gym and proceeds to the track. Scholars may do 2-3 laps.
*In the event of rain, we will host the parade indoors, and parents/guardians will also be welcome to attend.*

This morning we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Kimberley Markus, who is a former NJDOE Commissioner of Education. She's in AC this week for a convention, and wanted see all the great things taking place in our school. Thank you JJ, Annabelle, and Anna for leading the tour.
